Founded in 1935, Forrester Boyd began life as a small accountancy practice in Grimsby, dedicated to supporting local businesses with financial clarity and sound advice. Ninety years later, we have grown into one of the leading independent chartered accountancy practices in the region, with offices across Lincolnshire and into Yorkshire, including a newly opened office in Leeds.

As the firm has grown, one thing has remained constant – our deep-rooted values and strong client relationships. Remarkably, some of the family businesses that joined Forrester Boyd in our early years are still clients to this day, now run by third or even fourth generations. These enduring partnerships are a testament to the trust, continuity and personal service that have always set the firm apart.

We now provide a full suite of advisory services, including tax planning, audit, bookkeeping, payroll, corporate finance and succession planning.

Testament to the firm’s success, you just have to look at the longevity of not only the client relationships but the staff we employ. With numerous members of staff reaching milestone anniversaries, one member in particular celebrates an incredible 53 years of service. This extraordinary commitment exemplifies our culture of loyalty and appreciation, creating a stable and supportive environment for both staff and clients.

Forrester Boyd’s dedication to its community goes beyond its daily operations. In September 2024, the firm launched The Bradbury Foundation, a grant making charity, as a lasting legacy to partner Lee Bradbury. This initiative underscores the firm's commitment to giving back and providing dedicated support to local charities and community projects, reinforcing Forrester Boyd’s role as a responsible and engaged employer. The Foundation will be a key part of Forrester Boyd’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves.

We have an unwavering dedication to fostering talent which is evidenced by the fact that 14 of our 17 partners began their careers as trainees within the firm, showcasing our commitment to providing opportunities for young people in our communities. This is evidenced by the number of trainees in the firm today which sits at 34.

The recent opening of the firm’s Leeds office underscores our proactive approach to meeting the evolving needs of its clients and extending our reach into new markets. The Leeds office will provide the same high-quality services and personalised attention that clients have come to expect from Forrester Boyd.
